There were 45,237 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Dhanusa District, Constituency No. 5. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Ram Lakhan Mahato secured 16,590 (36.67%) votes and secured victory in the election.
