Chishankhugadhi is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Okhaldhunga district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Chishankhugadhi has total 8 wards, which are scattered across 127 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality had total population of 15,196.

Wardwise Population and Households

As per 2011 population census, Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality had total 15,196 population with 6,968 males and 8,228 females. Out of total wards, ward number 6 had the largest population 2,999, while ward number 7 had least number of population with 2,999.

With respect to number of households, Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality had total 3,334 households. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (203), above 75 (248), between 65 and 69 (253),between 60 and 64 (254), and between 30 and 34 (261), with total population of 1,219. With regards to female population, top 5 age groups females were between 10 and 14 (1,105), between 15 and 19 (1,028), between 5 and 9 (927), below 4 (681), and between 20 and 24 (644), with total population of 4,385. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (182), between 65 and 69 (232), above 75 (265),between 60 and 64 (286), and between 55 and 59 (311), with total population of 1,276.

The population with age-group below 4 had male to female ratio of 1.12, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 20 to 24 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.53. The age-groups below 4, 70 to 74, 65 to 69, 50 to 54 had majority of male population while age-groups 5 to 9, above 75, 10 to 14, 60 to 64, 55 to 59, 15 to 19, 45 to 49, 40 to 44, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 25 to 29, 20 to 24 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 372 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

Grade 1-12 Students & Schools

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 5,953 in Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality with 2,852 (47.91%) of males and 3,101 (52.09%) females. There were total 45 schools. In average, 132 students were studying in each school.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 2,976 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 183 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 73 houses had roof of tile, 3 houses had RCC roofs, 0 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 732 out of 3,334 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 136 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 2,437 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

Utilities

In Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality, there were total 2,709 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 2 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 48 houses had covered well while 198 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. With reference to source of fuel, 3,291 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 7 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 0 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (3), bio-gas (2), fuel electricity (0), etc.

Same as, total 580 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 648, while 1,478 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.17.

Facilities

out of 3,334 households in Chishankhugadhi Rural Municipality, 616 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,605 households reported of using at least one facility.
