Chautara Sangachowkgadhi is a Municipality, which is located in Sindhupalchok district, Province No. 3 of Nepal. Chautara Sangachowkgadhi has total 14 wards, which are scattered across 165 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality had total population of 46,501.

As of 2011, 2,389 population in Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 5.14 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 2,006, which equals to 9.43 percent of total 21,272 males. Same as, 383 females were absent, which equals to 1.52 percent of 25,225 females. The population with age-group 55 to 59 had male to female ratio of 1.03, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.60. The age-groups 55 to 59, 60 to 64 had majority of male population while age-groups 10 to 14, 50 to 54, 65 to 69, above 75, 45 to 49, 70 to 74, 15 to 19, 40 to 44, 35 to 39, 30 to 34, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups below 4, 5 to 9 had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

With respect to wall of the houses, 9,533 houses were mud bonded, 1,175 houses were cement bonded, 24 houses were wood planks bonded, 11 houses were bamboo bonded and 2 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 160 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 4,421 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 5,242 houses had roof of tile, 906 houses had RCC roofs, 2 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 2,498 out of 10,906 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 5,478 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 2,824 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality, there were total 9,699 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 1 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 235 houses had covered well while 145 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (708) and river stream (7), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 9,797 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 66 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 909 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (0), bio-gas (7), fuel electricity (3), etc.

Same as, total 10,481 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 303, while 4 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.96.

out of 10,906 households in Chautara Sangachowkgadhi Municipality, 1,592 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 9,037 households reported of using at least one facility. In those establishments, total 7,501 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 3,792 and female engagement of 3,709 persons.In every business, there were an average of 4.25 people engaged with average males are 2.15 and females are 2.10.
