Bulingtar Rural Municipality (Nawalparasi_E) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bulingtar Rural Municipality (Nawalparasi_E district), candidate Sashi Kiran Bastakoti of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 4,698 (63.34%) votes out of total votes of 7,417 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Bidrohi Giri of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 2,482 (20.49%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 237 (1.60) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Maina Kami of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 4,662 (64.67%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Parbati Thapa of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,547 (21.46%) of votes and came in second position. Other 0 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined () of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 71 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 43 (60.56%) males and 28 (39.44%) females. Moreover, there were total 14 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 26 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 13 females and 12 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
