Bogatan Phudisal is a Rural Municipality, which is located in Doti district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Bogatan Phudisal has total 7 wards, which are scattered across 300 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality had total population of 17,902.

As of 2011, 1,468 population in Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 8.20 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 1,268, which equals to 14.95 percent of total 8,480 males. Same as, 200 females were absent, which equals to 2.12 percent of 9,422 females. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (66), between 70 and 74 (76), between 65 and 69 (143),between 60 and 64 (194), and between 50 and 54 (265), with total population of 744. In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were above 75 (94), between 70 and 74 (95), between 65 and 69 (195),between 60 and 64 (262), and between 50 and 54 (269), with total population of 915.

The population with age-group below 4 had male to female ratio of 1.06, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group above 75 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.70. The age-groups below 4, 55 to 59 had majority of male population while age-groups 40 to 44, 50 to 54, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 15 to 19, 45 to 49, 25 to 29, 70 to 74, 35 to 39, 20 to 24, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 30 to 34, above 75 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 7,350 in Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality with 3,703 (50.38%) of males and 3,647 (49.62%) females. There were total 43 schools. In average, 171 students were studying in each school.

With respect to wall of the houses, 3,049 houses were mud bonded, 10 houses were cement bonded, 47 houses were wood planks bonded, 7 houses were bamboo bonded and 0 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,481 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 19 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 1,598 houses had roof of tile, 8 houses had RCC roofs, 5 houses had roof of woods while 3 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 2,152 out of 3,130 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 542 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 423 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality, there were total 1,821 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 2 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 283 houses had covered well while 386 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (479) and river stream (144), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 3,106 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 6 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 0 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (1), bio-gas (3), fuel electricity (0), etc.

Same as, total 230 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 284, while 915 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.07.

out of 3,130 households in Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality, 1,010 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 2,009 households reported of using at least one facility. According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 271 establishments in Bogatan Phudisal Rural Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 704 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 485 and female engagement of 219 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.60 people engaged with average males are 1.79 and females are 0.81. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 2.21, which means as many as 2.21 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
