Bitthadchir Rural Municipality (Bajhang) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bitthadchir Rural Municipality (Bajhang district), candidate Prem Bahadur Bohara of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,711 (45.15%) votes out of total votes of 6,004 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Dhan Bahadur Khadka of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 2,252 (25.84%) of votes. The rest of 3 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,041 (8.67) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Janaki Bohara of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,826 (47.68%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Kamala Devi Joshi of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,330 (26.62%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 771 (6.50) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 134 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 76 (56.72%) males and 58 (43.28%) females. Moreover, there were total 26 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 49 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 25 females and 26 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
