Bindabasini Rural Municipality (Parsa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bindabasini Rural Municipality (Parsa district), candidate Shreelal Shah Kanu of Snghiy Samajbadi Form Nepal (SanSFN) secured 2,611 (29.50%) votes out of total votes of 8,852 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Chandra Kishor Prasad Barai of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 2,603 (22.71%) of votes. The rest of 17 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 3,638 (20.55) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Kiran Devi of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,913 (34.15%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Urmila Devi of Snghiy Samajbadi Form Nepal (SanSFN) secured 2,107 (18.41%) of votes and came in second position. Other 4 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 3,510 (20.57) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 152 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 97 (63.82%) males and 55 (36.18%) females. Moreover, there were total 30 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 5 wards. Same as, total 50 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 25 females and 22 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
