Bhimsen Rural Municipality (Gorkha) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bhimsen Rural Municipality (Gorkha district), candidate Ishwor Pandey of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,943 (42.04%) votes out of total votes of 9,379 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Lok Prasad Banjara of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 2,984 (22.40%) of votes. The rest of 4 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 2,452 (13.07) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Binu Wagle of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,983 (42.26%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Lila Shrestha of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,202 (23.88%) of votes and came in second position. Other 4 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 2,241 (11.89) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 169 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 102 (60.36%) males and 67 (39.64%) females. Moreover, there were total 34 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 8 wards. Same as, total 64 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 31 females and 28 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
