Bhadrapur is a Municipality, which is located in Jhapa district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Bhadrapur has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 96 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bhadrapur Municipality had total population of 65,543.

As of 2011, 6,400 population in Bhadrapur Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 9.76 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 5,266, which equals to 17.01 percent of total 30,958 males. Same as, 1,134 females were absent, which equals to 3.28 percent of 34,575 females. At least one member of 4,535 (29.70 percent) households were absent.

In contrast, bottom 5 least age group male population were between 70 and 74 (538), above 75 (669), between 65 and 69 (749),between 60 and 64 (1,076), and between 55 and 59 (1,230), with total population of 4,262. The population with age-group 60 to 64 had male to female ratio of 1.10, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.64. The age-groups 60 to 64, 50 to 54, 65 to 69, 55 to 59, 5 to 9, below 4, 10 to 14 had majority of male population while age-groups 15 to 19, 45 to 49, 40 to 44, above 75, 35 to 39, 30 to 34, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups 70 to 74 had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 277 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 9,159 in Bhadrapur Municipality with 4,630 (50.55%) of males and 4,529 (49.45%) females. There were total 60 schools. In average, 153 students were studying in each school.

Top five castes of people in Bhadrapur Municipality are Brahmin - Hill (13,747), Rajbansi (9,626), Chhetri (7,062), Limbu (5,506) and Rai (3,275) with total population of 39,216, which forms 59.83 percent out of total population of 65,543 in Bhadrapur Municipality.

Out of total population of 65,533, there were total 1,329 (2.03%) disabled persons in Bhadrapur Municipality with 750 (56.43%) males and 579 (43.57%) females. The physically disabled persons were 522, while mentally disabled people were 111 and intellectually disabled were 38.

Out of total 15270 households in Bhadrapur Municipality, there were 599 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 5,116 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 2,665 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 5,462houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 384 houses were mud bonded, 7,403 houses were cement bonded, 604 houses were wood planks bonded, 6,546 houses were bamboo bonded and 11 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 927 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 10,206 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 56 houses had roof of tile, 3,883 houses had RCC roofs, 42 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 3,375 out of 15,270 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 7,930 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 3,886 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Bhadrapur Municipality, there were total 4,684 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 10,093 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 99 houses had covered well while 184 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (18) and river stream (10), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 9,000 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 172 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 4,675 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (165), bio-gas (1,101), fuel electricity (8), etc.

Same as, total 13,123 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 1,926, while 45 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.86.

out of 15,270 households in Bhadrapur Municipality, 862 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 14,334 households reported of using at least one facility. Households using at least one facility, such as radio, television, internet, etc. have been illustrated in the table below.Bicycle was used by the maximum households with total users of 11,878, while MobilePhone was the next mostly used facilities with total household users of 10,896.

According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 3,125 establishments in Bhadrapur Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 11,538 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 6,711 and female engagement of 4,827 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.69 people engaged with average males are 2.15 and females are 1.54. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.39, which means as many as 1.39 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
