Banke – 4 | 2008 Constituent Assembly Election Results

There were 36,708 votes casted during 2008 Constituent Assembly elections in Banke District, Constituency No. 4. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) - Purna Kumari Subedi secured 13,884 (37.82%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Govinda Prasad Koirala of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) who secured 11,204 (30.52%) votes and came in second position. The difference in votes of Purna Kumari Subedi and Govinda Prasad Koirala was 2,680. All other candidates secured 11,620 (31.66%) votes.

As illustrated in the pie-chart above, the candidates who lost the election secured 22,824 (62.18%) votes as compared to votes secured by elected candidate Purna Kumari Subedi, which was 13,884 (37.82%) votes.
