There were 27,154 votes casted during 1999 House of Representatives elections in Bajhang District, Constituency No. 2. The candidte of Nepali Congress Party - Suresh Malla secured 12,097 (44.55%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Birendra Bahadur Bhandari of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) who secured 8,105 (29.85%) votes and came in second position.
