Bahudarmai Municipality (Parsa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bahudarmai Municipality (Parsa district), candidate Nitendra Prasad Shah Teli of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,461 (25.18%) votes out of total votes of 13,746 and was elected as a Mayor. The first runner-up candidate was Shiva Prasad Patel of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RasJPN) who secured 2,615 (15.20%) of votes. The rest of 8 candidates for the position of Mayor secured combined 7,670 (27.90) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Deputy Mayor, candidate Gayatri Devi of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,818 (32.11%) and was elected as a Deputy Mayor, while Sunita Kumari Shah of Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RasJPN) secured 3,031 (19.29%) of votes and came in second position. Other 6 candidates who contested for Deputy Mayor secured combined 5,043 (21.20) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 256 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 164 (64.06%) males and 92 (35.94%) females. Moreover, there were total 58 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 99 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 44 females and 37 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
