Lamkichuha is a Municipality, which is located in Kailali district, Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal. Lamkichuha has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 225 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Lamkichuha Municipality had total population of 75,425.

As of 2011, 9,014 population in Lamkichuha Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 11.95 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 7,301, which equals to 20.62 percent of total 35,408 males. Same as, 1,712 females were absent, which equals to 4.28 percent of 40,017 females. At least one member of 5,069 (34.35 percent) households were absent.

The population with age-group below 4 had male to female ratio of 1.06, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.70. The age-groups below 4, 5 to 9, 70 to 74, 10 to 14, above 75 had majority of male population while age-groups 65 to 69, 55 to 59, 15 to 19, 50 to 54, 45 to 49, 40 to 44, 35 to 39, 60 to 64, 30 to 34, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

There were 56.42 % (42,555 ) of independent population, the working age people between ages of 15 and 64 years. The dependent children, ages below 15 years, were 39.43 % with total number of 29,740. The dependent elderly population, aged 65 and above were 4.15 % with total number of 3,130. As such, total dependent population including children and elderly people were 43.58 with total number of 32,870

There were 20,591 women of child-bearing age-group of 15 to 49 years. Same as, the todlers or children of 4 years or below were 8,196. The ratio of woman of child-bearing age and the number of todlers state that, approximately 398 children were born per 1,000 women. This number is also roughly used as fertility levels when direct measures of births are not available.

According to Nepal Government records as of 2017, there were total 30,271 in Lamkichuha Municipality with 14,845 (49.04%) of males and 15,426 (50.96%) females. There were total 67 schools. In average, 452 students were studying in each school.

Top five castes of people in Lamkichuha Municipality are Tharu (21,629), Brahmin - Hill (17,241), Chhetri (16,807), Kami (6,365) and Thakuri (2,994) with total population of 65,036, which forms 86.23 percent out of total population of 75,425 in Lamkichuha Municipality.

Out of total population of 75,425, there were total 1,785 (2.37%) disabled persons in Lamkichuha Municipality with 910 (50.98%) males and 875 (49.02%) females. The physically disabled persons were 647, while mentally disabled people were 109 and intellectually disabled were 36.

Out of total 14757 households in Lamkichuha Municipality, there were 1,929 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 2,706 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 507 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 9,478houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 1,514 houses were mud bonded, 3,767 houses were cement bonded, 5,620 houses were wood planks bonded, 2,992 houses were bamboo bonded and 83 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 1,802 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 2,464 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 8,079 houses had roof of tile, 1,927 houses had RCC roofs, 159 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 8,388 out of 14,757 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 4,354 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 1,934 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Lamkichuha Municipality, there were total 2,670 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 11,586 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 10 houses had covered well while 7 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (34) and river stream (37), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 13,586 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 16 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 366 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (11), bio-gas (679), fuel electricity (10), etc.

Same as, total 13,283 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 573, while 41 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.90.

out of 14,757 households in Lamkichuha Municipality, 1,696 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 12,715 households reported of using at least one facility. According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 2,062 establishments in Lamkichuha Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 6,476 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 4,178 and female engagement of 2,298 persons.In every business, there were an average of 3.14 people engaged with average males are 2.03 and females are 1.11. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.82, which means as many as 1.82 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
