Chaudandigadhi is a Municipality, which is located in Udayapur district, Province No. 1 of Nepal. Chaudandigadhi has total 10 wards, which are scattered across 284 square kilometers of geographical area. According to 2011 Census conducted by Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Chaudandigadhi Municipality had total population of 48,574.

As of 2011, 4,501 population in Chaudandigadhi Municipality were absent from their households, which equals to 9.27 percent of the total population. Absence of males was 4,103, which equals to 18.58 percent of total 22,082 males. Same as, 398 females were absent, which equals to 1.50 percent of 26,492 females. The population with age-group 5 to 9 had male to female ratio of 1.05, which states that this age group had maximum males as compared to females. Similarly, age-group 25 to 29 had most female population as compared to male population with male to female ratio of 0.51. The age-groups 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 65 to 69, 70 to 74 had majority of male population while age-groups below 4, 55 to 59, above 75, 15 to 19, 60 to 64, 50 to 54, 45 to 49, 40 to 44, 35 to 39, 30 to 34, 20 to 24, 25 to 29 had majority of female population as per male-female ratios. Moreover, age-groups had eqivalent or almost equal numbers of male and female population with male-female ratios of 1.

Top five castes of people in Chaudandigadhi Municipality are Rai (11,814), Chhetri (11,082), Tharu (7,215), Magar (3,464) and Kami (3,070) with total population of 36,645, which forms 75.44 percent out of total population of 48,574 in Chaudandigadhi Municipality.

Out of total population of 48,574, there were total 1,156 (2.38%) disabled persons in Chaudandigadhi Municipality with 586 (50.69%) males and 570 (49.31%) females. The physically disabled persons were 402, while mentally disabled people were 54 and intellectually disabled were 72.

Out of total 10519 households in Chaudandigadhi Municipality, there were 317 houses that were founded on mud bonded while 319 houses were cement bonded. Same as, 140 households were reported of being founded on RCC piller, 9,714houses were founded on wood.

With respect to wall of the houses, 156 houses were mud bonded, 1,005 houses were cement bonded, 3,388 houses were wood planks bonded, 5,825 houses were bamboo bonded and 4 houses had unbaked bricks on their outer walls.Rest of the houses were reported of having other types of outer wall, while some of them reported nothing of having the outer wall bonding.

There were several types of house roofs reported. Total 2,450 houses were reported of having thatch roofs while 6,804 houses had galvanized roofs. Similarly, 988 houses had roof of tile, 212 houses had RCC roofs, 31 houses had roof of woods while 0 houses were reported having roof of mud. As per 2011 CBS census, some of the houses had other types of roofs while some didn't report about the roof structure.

With respect to the toilets, 4,263 out of 10,519 houses didn't report of having a private toilet for their households. Nevertheless, 3,843 houses were reported of having flush toilet while 2,403 houses reported having ordinary toilets.

In Chaudandigadhi Municipality, there were total 3,157 houses, which were equiped with piped tap water resources while 4,312 houses were reported of having tubewell water facilities. Same as, 363 houses had covered well while 2,390 houses didn't have any cover on their tubewell. Other resources of water facilities were spout water (39) and river stream (66), which were reported of the household's source of water.

With reference to source of fuel, 9,965 households reported their source of fuel as firewood while 48 households had kerosene as their fuel source. The LP gas was used by 236 households as a source of fuel. Moreover, other sources of fuel were cow dung (22), bio-gas (235), fuel electricity (1), etc.

Same as, total 7,632 households had reported of having electricity as the source of their household's lighting. The households still using kerosene as source of light were 2,410, while 362 households used solar energy as source of lights. Total 0 households also reported of using bio-gas as a source of light. The ratio of use of electricity as compared to other source of light was 0.73.

out of 10,519 households in Chaudandigadhi Municipality, 1,517 houses reported of having no any facility in their household while 8,902 households reported of using at least one facility. According to 2018 Economic Census, there are total 1,602 establishments in Chaudandigadhi Municipality that are involved in various economic activities. In those establishments, total 3,943 persons are engaged for the economic activities, as a self-employed or an employee, with total male engagement of 2,127 and female engagement of 1,816 persons.In every business, there were an average of 2.46 people engaged with average males are 1.33 and females are 1.13. The ratio of male to female engagement in the establishments are 1.17, which means as many as 1.17 males are enagement in the economic activities per female.
