Triveni Municipality (Bajura) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Triveni Municipality (Bajura district), candidate Ram Singh Rawal of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,365 (51.70%) votes out of total votes of 6,509 and was elected as a Mayor. The first runner-up candidate was Jung Bahadur Budha of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 2,194 (22.22%) of votes. The rest of 2 candidates for the position of Mayor secured combined 950 (7.30) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Deputy Mayor, candidate Radhika Devi Sunar of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 3,392 (52.68%) and was elected as a Deputy Mayor, while Parbati Kumari Thapa (bista) of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,070 (21.06%) of votes and came in second position. Other 2 candidates who contested for Deputy Mayor secured combined 977 (7.59) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 122 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 74 (60.66%) males and 48 (39.34%) females. Moreover, there were total 25 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 9 wards. Same as, total 45 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 23 females and 21 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
