Tripurasundari Municipality (Dolpa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Tripurasundari Municipality (Dolpa district), candidate Om Bahadur Budha of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,609 (39.86%) votes out of total votes of 4,037 and was elected as a Mayor. The first runner-up candidate was Dil Bahadur Bista of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 1,591 (28.18%) of votes. The rest of 1 candidates for the position of Mayor secured combined 837 (10.37) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Deputy Mayor, candidate Chandra Kumari Budha of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 1,845 (47.22%) and was elected as a Deputy Mayor, while Buddha Kumari Shahi of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 1,064 (18.50%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Deputy Mayor secured combined 998 (12.77) of votes.
As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 143 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 88 (61.54%) males and 55 (38.46%) females. Moreover, there were total 32 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 11 wards. Same as, total 59 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 28 females and 18 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
