Triveni Rural Municipality (Rolpa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Triveni Rural Municipality (Rolpa district), candidate Shanta Kumar Oli of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,333 (40.04%) votes out of total votes of 8,324 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Ganga Prasad Gharti of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) who secured 3,112 (26.70%) of votes. The rest of 5 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,879 (11.29) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Sabitra Kumari Budha (gharti) of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 3,314 (40.20%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Lal Sari Gharti Magar of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,113 (26.94%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 1,816 (11.02) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 147 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 87 (59.18%) males and 60 (40.82%) females. Moreover, there were total 29 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 7 wards. Same as, total 53 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 27 females and 26 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
