Madi Rural Municipality (Rolpa) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Madi Rural Municipality (Rolpa district), candidate Nanda Bahadur Pun of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,182 (54.76%) votes out of total votes of 5,811 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Gopal Gharti of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 2,621 (29.14%) of votes. The rest of 1 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 8 (0.07) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Dhanikala Gharti Budha Magar of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) (CPN (M)) secured 3,251 (54.73%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Prem Bahadur Basnet of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 2,689 (29.26%) of votes and came in second position. Other 0 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined () of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 85 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 49 (57.65%) males and 36 (42.35%) females. Moreover, there were total 15 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 6 wards. Same as, total 32 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 16 females and 17 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
