Bareng Rural Municipality (Baglung) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Bareng Rural Municipality (Baglung district), candidate Krishna Prasad Sharma of Rastriya JanaMorcha (RasJanM) secured 3,034 (58.02%) votes out of total votes of 5,229 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Pradeep Thapa Magar of Nepali Congress Party (NC) who secured 2,195 (26.56%) of votes. The rest of 0 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined () of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Dil Kumari Pun of Rastriya JanaMorcha (RasJanM) secured 2,964 (57.07%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Bishnu (basnet) Khatri of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 2,074 (25.42%) of votes and came in second position. Other 1 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 156 (1.50) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 60 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 36 (60.00%) males and 24 (40.00%) females. Moreover, there were total 12 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 5 wards. Same as, total 22 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 10 females and 11 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
