Annapurna Rural Municipality (Kaski) Election Results 2017
In 2017 election of Annapurna Rural Municipality (Kaski district), candidate Yubaraj Kunwar of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 4,672 (44.07%) votes out of total votes of 10,601 and was elected as a Chairman. The first runner-up candidate was Bishnu Bahadur K.c of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) who secured 4,408 (28.86%) of votes. The rest of 4 candidates for the position of Chairman secured combined 1,521 (7.17) of votes.
Similarly, for the position of Vice-Chairman, candidate Sagun Gurung of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN (UML)) secured 4,586 (43.85%) and was elected as a Vice-Chairman, while Khim Kumari Gurung of Nepali Congress Party (NC) secured 4,469 (29.71%) of votes and came in second position. Other 3 candidates who contested for Vice-Chairman secured combined 1,403 (6.71) of votes.

As illustrated in the pie chart, there were total 210 candidates contested in various positions with gender ratio of 120 (57.14%) males and 90 (42.86%) females. Moreover, there were total 46 candidates contested for ward chairman positions in 11 wards. Same as, total 76 candidates had contested for ward member positions while 39 females and 38 females from depressed group (dalit) had contested for female member position in each ward.
