There were 37,364 votes casted during 1994 House of Representatives elections in Jhapa District, Constituency No. 3. The candidte of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Marxist-Leninist) - Devi Prasad Ojha secured 16,674 (44.63%) votes and secured victory in the election. The runner-up candidate was Gopal Kumar Basnet of Nepali Congress Party who secured 13,614 (36.44%) votes and came in second position.
